Selling starts with proving who you are. The Verified Buyer application is where we establish - and a person reviews - whether you are an individual, a registered business, an NGO or a public body. Seller verification then builds on that, so you are never asked for the same documents twice.
This is also why you cannot skip ahead: without a reviewed entity type, there is nothing to anchor the seller requirements to.
Start Verified Buyer application →You provide your name, phone, address and a photo, plus your registration details if you are applying as an organisation. Our team reviews it by hand. You will get a notification the moment it is decided - approved or not, with a reason you can act on.
Reviews are usually same-day. Nothing is charged at this stage.
Once approved, tell us your business name, what you sell, and how buyers can reach you. This is the short part - most of the identity work is already done.
Apply as a seller →We confirm your identity against the national registries using your NIN or BVN - either one, since both resolve to the same name and matching your name is the whole point. Registered businesses also give a CAC registration number, and limited companies confirm the directors who together hold at least 50% of the company.
Unveeyl does not store or check these numbers itself. They go to Dojah, a licensed identity provider, and we keep only the result.
Add your payout bank account, set your delivery zones and fees, and publish your first listing. Buyers pay into escrow, and on completion we deduct commission and transfer the rest to your bank account.

Once seller verification passes, you can start a 7-day Premium trial from your settings. No card is required and there is nothing to cancel - when it ends you simply move to the Free plan unless you choose to subscribe. One trial per seller.
Commission on each completed sale: 5% of the item price, never more than ₦5,000 on a single sale. Paid plans lower the rate.
That commission covers what it costs to move the money: Paystack's charge on the buyer's card or transfer, the fee on every payout to your bank account, the government stamp duty on qualifying transfers, and the bank charges around them - plus escrow protection and dispute handling. You are never billed for those separately.
Buyers pay into escrow, so the money is neither yours nor ours until the order completes. On release we deduct commission and transfer the rest to your bank account. Delivery fees pass through to you untouched.
